Site Engineer responsible for setting out of bridge decks, finishes & slide tracks for the Marsh Mills Viaduct replacement Scheme, Plymouth (£12M)
This involved the world’s largest sideways bridge slides at the time (1996) for the two 410 metres (1,350 ft), 5,500 tonne bridges. It is still recognised as the largest bridge slide ever undertaken in the UK.
- AA National Motoring Award in 1996 for its innovative features, which enabled traffic congestion to be minimised.
- British Design Council 1998 – Millennium Product Award
- British Construction Industry Awards 1996 – Special Commendation for Ingenuity
